Psychedelic Care

Plant medicines and entheogens aren't new. They've been used for centuries across cultures for healing, ceremony, and connection to something larger than ourselves. That history matters. It reminds us that this work isn't about innovation; it's about relationship, respect, and a willingness to be changed. What's new is the context--a modern culture that's learning to be in right relationship with what indigenous communities have long known.

Psychedelic care involves an evidence-based  approach designed to help individuals, couples, and groups create a grounded framework for inner exploration, grounded in harm reduction, relational depth, and informed by an anti-oppressive framework that takes seriously the histories these medicines carry. I work with a four-phase framework that honors the full arc of psychedelic experience—not just the journey itself, but everything that surrounds it.

  1. Accepting the Call. The work begins with a comprehensive bio-psycho-social screening, an autobiographical questionnaire, building our therapeutic relationship, and making an informed commitment to the work ahead.

  2. Intentional Preparation deepens that foundation. Together we clarify your intentions, explore set and setting, discuss the historical and social contexts of this work, build inner resources, and explore potential risks and benefits. This is where the real groundwork happens. The goal is that you feel informed, resourced, excited, and prepared.

  3. Navigating What Arises provides a framework of supportive practices, relational supports, safety, and non-directive, evidence-based guidance for the experience, including insight on what to expect from working with a trained facilitator.

  4. Integration starts with remembering and recalling, reconnects what emerged to your original intentions, history and presenting concerns. Integration is the on-going and meaningful work of bringing new understanding into your relationships, your choices, your daily life.

Whether you're approaching your first journey, have experience, or looking to make sense of something that already happened, I'm here to support your process.
